Each program is tailored to meet the client's needs and includes advanced techniques and procedures that go beyond the basic information offered in the book, "The Gift of Dyslexia" by Ron Davis.

  • The Davis Dyslexia Correction® Program is a highly effective set of corrective procedures and techniques that identifies and resolves the root cause of the learning disability.
  • The program differs from others on several levels by addressing the root cause, as opposed to teaching sometimes frustrating compensatory skills designed to mask the symptoms.
  • The program is successful because the methods are based on using the natural strengths, talents, personal thinking and learning style of each individual.
  • The program is one on one, intensive and fun.
  • We have found that other remediation and therapy programs work well in conjunction with the tools provided through this program.
  • Motivation and commitment is an essential element in the success of each individual.
  • The following learning difficulties originate from the same cause of dyslexia, therefore the can be corrected as well.
  • Handwriting difficulties (Dysgraphia)
  • Math difficulties (Dyscalculia)
  • ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder)
  • Auditory Processing
  • Motor coordination difficulties
  • Organizational skills

    • The program can be achieved within six months, however, a year and a half is more practical.

    The program begins with the initial week of one-on-one facilitation. The initial program is approximately 30 hours for the client with 3-6 hours of attendance by the support person/parent. The hours are generally 9:00-12:00 and 1:00-4:00 daily for five consecutive days. The program also includes:

  • All necessary take-home materials for the program follow-up.
  • Support training for client's families, tutors or educators at the end of the initial week. This is to ensure post-program follow-up success.
  • Post-program phone consultations for follow-up help.
  • Letters of recommendation for school/partnership help.
  • Three-two hour follow-up sessions.

    • The program is a new start, not a final solution. Positive change and improvement are expected during the initial program week. The change will continue as the follow-up is completed and the focusing tools are used.

    Through my experience, I have witnessed an unfolding of the individual. This unfolding of confidence and abilities has proved to be unlimited in potential.

     

     

    Professional services described as Davis®, Davis Dyslexia Correction®, including Davis Symbol Mastery®, Davis Orientation Counseling®, and Davis Learning StrategiesTM services may only be provided by persons who are trained and licensed through Davis Dyslexia Association International.
